Purpose

The purpose of this Organization is:

• To provide volunteer support, financial assistance, and other resources to Life First Ambulance District.
• To raise awareness about Life First’s mission and impact.
• To organize events and activities that support Life First’s goals.
• To build a network of individuals and communities engaged in furthering the mission of Life First Ambulance District

Did you know?

EMS (Emergency Medical Services) , while a crucial role in our communities, is not an “essential service by the state of Ohio”.  This means the government (Township / City / County or State) are NOT required to provide to the public. 911 Emergency Services are funded through EMS / Ambulance levies and Bond Issues.
Without the support of the community, the EMS services cease to exist.

Since the first day running our “Medic 1” Ambulance on January 1, 2022,  Life First Ambulance District has been renting a single bay and the meeting room of the Liberty Township Station as their EMS Station. We are so grateful for Liberty being willing to support Life FIrst and providing a place for the District to function out of, however, it’s time to make a space of our own. The meeting room that is rented from Liberty has many purposes, including a meeting room for several entities, dayroom and kitchen for the employees and also sleeping quarters for the staff.

The District has been working with USDA Rural Development to secure a loan to build a station. The station would give the employees and the Board the privacy needed for daily life at the station and for business. The new building would be tailored to the needs of the Emergency Medical Service and the people who make it function.

The Friends of the Life First Ambulance District are partnering alongside the Life FIrst Ambulance District to raise awareness of our much needed service in the area and the essential support needed from our community.
